Occupation given as ‘Labourer’.  Marriage was witnessed by James McIntyre (possibly the bride’s brother but he would have been aged 15/16) and Ellen McKenna(?).

26th December 1882 – First son, James, born at born at Monkton Road, Jarrow.  County Durham.  Occupation given as ‘Rivetter’s Labourer’.

26th August 1884 – Second son, John, born at 28 Colling Street, Hebburn, County Durham.  Occupation given as ‘Plater’s Labourer’.

30th Decemeber1886 – First daughter, Winifred, born at Collings Lane, Hebburn, County Durham.  Occupation given as ‘Shipyard Labourer’.

1901 Census – Age 40.  Widower.  Was living at 23 Collins Street, Hebburn, County Durham with James (age 20 – Plater Labourer Shipyard), John (age 17 – Rivett Heater Shipyard), Winnifred (age 15 – Domestic Servant) and Bridget (age 13 – scholar).  Occupation given as ‘Plater Labourer Shipyard’.

1911 Census – Age 49.  Widower.  Was living at 57 Williams Lane, Hebburn, County Durham with Winifred (age 24 – occupation ‘Rope Maker’), Bridget (age 22 – occupation not given), Catherine Weedy (age 5 – granddaughter), and Herbert Henry (boarder – age 28 – occupation ‘Shipyard rivet Heater’).  Occupation given as ‘Labourer (Plater & Helper)’.

5th April 1923 – Died age 63 at 1 Moors Lane, West Harton, South Shields.  Cause of death given as 1) Arteriosclerosis and 2) Chronic Bronchitis.  Death registered by J Mannion, son, of 6½ Cuthbert Street, Hebburn , present at the death.
